Worthstock Music Festival News
Monday 21st July 2008
Dear valued festival fans, supporters, artists and ticket holders: Due to various reasons Worthstock Music
Festival 2008 will not be held in Silsden Carnival Field this year. The festival has now
been moved to the K2 Music Venue, Vic Hotel and Cricketers Arms in Keighley,
which we have booked for the weekend. The Main Stage and Musicians Centre Stage
will be held on the venues 2 stages, which has a wicked sound system, great lighting and
more than enough room for everyone to chillout and enjoy the music. The venue is for all ages
and licensed security will keep everything running smoothly. K2 will have the same bands an lineup and
will be open from 7pm Friday August 1st all day Saturday August 2nd and all day Sunday August 3rd.
The Kev O Brien Memorial Stage, is now at Victoria Hotel Keighley on Saturday August 2nd, we will
be moving some of the Acoustic Stage to the Cricketers Arms, Keighley on Saturday August 2nd and 3rd.
Think of it as "Worthstock Mark 2", with shelter incase of rain.
Many thanks, keep the faith,
Helen, Rob, Tim, Tom & Luke

Greetings from York! Work on Worthstock 2008 is now well and truly underway, and the updates
will be flowing much more frequently from now on.
We are currently in the process of booking bands and have a
rough line-up pencilled in, but we are still interested and actively seeking band requests.
This year will feature one open air stage and two marquee stages with bands and artists
playing from all around the UK.
We will have amenities, entertainment and stalls on site from local independent
traders, so there will be plenty to keep you entertained over the 3 days 3 nights.
There is still time to get in touch if you would like to play the festival,
or have any suggestions about what you would like to see.
Cheers for now,
Tim, Rob, Helen, Luke & Tom

Organisation for next year’s festival is well underway. After visiting,
photographing and surveying many potential new sites, we have a shortlist and
we are looking at the potential of each one.
We have been in touch with many bands, a lot of them have been suggested by
you and a few of our favourites are in there too, we have not confirmed the line-up
just yet, so keep the suggestions coming in, local, national, signed and unsigned,
we want them all!
This year two new people are joining the organisational team. Luke Willoughby who was hugely
involved in last year’s festival steps in alongside Tom Marshall. This will enable us all
to focus on various elements of the weekend and make things keep moving more efficiently.
That’s about it for now, so keep watching this space for developments as they happen,
and in the meantime, stay in touch!
